[ Laptops & Notebooks ] Open Question : back to school laptop for a 15 year old?

to write reports and do research... school related work :P surf the web... emails, msn, facebook youtube... maybe games..... 15 year old guy going into sec4 price range up to 400$ what do you recommend can also be a mini-laptop
