[ Law & Ethics ] Open Question : do you have to pay your fines the same day as your court date?

I have a court date coming up, and I was wondering if I have to pay the same day after I'm done? And if so what if I don't have enough to pay my fine? If it helps I live in michigan. I'm fighting a ticket I got(failure to yield, resulting in accident). I want the points reduced or removed. Thank you.
