We divorced 7 years ago. I'm remarrying and we plan to buy a house. The best neighborhood we found is less than 1/2 mile outside of the county line. I am supposed to stay in the county. My ex is angry because he will have to drive 35 min instead of his usual 15 min to pick up our son. We already started the homebuying process. My ex travels for work about 2/3 of the year and would not seek full custody because of that. If he would just sign a written agreement and file it with the court then we could move. There are plenty of other places we could move within the county and be much farther away. I live is a small apt now and the new house is much bigger and the schools are much better and the crime rate is lower. But he's mad and he won't return my calls. What are the odds of him fighing us in court and keeping us from moving out of the county?
